Soil Preperation
Use a good quality compost. If growing direct in the ground, remove all weeds. The soil should be a fine tilth.

Sowing Guide
Early Sowing/Module Sowing
Sow in trays or shallow pots.
Add approx. 5 cm of compost to the container. Level the compost and lightly press down. Position the seeds with approx. 0.5 cm between each other. Cover the seeds with approx. 1cm of compost (the seeds should be fully covered)
Water well. Position in a warm location to germinate. Keep the compost moist but do not overwater.
Once germination starts move to an area with good daylight exposure, a windowsill is ideal.
Direct Sowing
Sow the seeds with approx. 0.5 cm space between each other. Cover with 1 - 2cm of fine soil. The seeds should be fully covered. Water well.
Growing On
Keep the compost/soil moist but avoid overwatering.
Harvesting
The crop will be ready to harvest 3 -4 weeks after sowing (when around 8 - 10cm tall.
Cut the shoots with sharp scissors as and when needed (approx. 1cm above the compost/soil level).
The young plants will regrow and a second crop should be possible 14 - 21 days later. Pea shoots will regrow even after the 2nd cutting however the shoots tend to be tougher and less sweet (worth trying a third crop however, especially if you plan to cook the shoots!).
For a continuous supply, sow pea shoots in succession every 7 - 14 days.
This variety can also be grown as conventional peas, producing long dark green pods of juicy fresh peas.
