When large enough to handle transplant into 7 - 10 cm pots.
Grow on in frost free conditions in a greenhouse or cold frame is ideal. plant out when all risk of frost has passed and the plants are growing strong.
Harden off over 10 - 15 days before planting out.

Direct Sowing

It is advisable to start the plants indoors rather than sowing direct.

Growing On

Water the young plants well until established.
During the growing season water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer ever 2 - 3 weeks.
